It's That Time Again.

For all of us sports fans, it's one of the busiest times of the year. NBA basketball teams are breaking into camps. Football season is in full swing, both NFL and NCAA. The first rounds of Champions League are being played in Europe, and Major League Soccer season is winding down here in the States. Also, baseball playoffs are just beginning. Oh, the excitement!

I get the feeling this might be the Houston Rockets' year. I haven't been this excited about an upcoming NBA season since 1994. Here's why: Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, Stevie "Franchise," Dikembe Mutombo, Shane Battier, Luis Scola, Bonzi Wells and coach Rick Adelman. Aren't you?

I'm not so much excited as I am curious to see who will make it to the World Series this year. Personally, I'm rooting for anyone who plays against the Cubs or the Yankees. It's always fun watching those two teams lose. Maybe the Phillies can win it all. Or the Red Sox. That would be cool.

As for Major League Soccer, I hope to see the Houston Dynamo with the MLS Cup when it's all said and done next month. In the Champions League, I'm mainly following the four teams with my favorite players: F.C. Barcelona (Giovani Dos Santos), F.C. Shakhtar Donetsk (Nery Castillo), P.S.V. Eindhoven (Carlos Salcido), and VfB Stuttgart (Pavel Pardo).

I don't really have a favorite NFL team ever since the 49ers started sucking and the Oilers left town, but I do root for the Texans and keep my eye on San Francisco's schedule (okay I admit, I still like the 49ers, but it's tough when you live in Cowboy country). The only NCAA football team I root for is the University of Houston.
Go COOGS!

There's nothing like the fall season. Just like the Houston Rockets marketing slogan says, It's Time.

So, hey. It's me. The girl you share an office with. Your blog amuses me and I would watch the video (since you asked so nicely) except I'm "borrowing" wireless and it's moving slower than molasses.

I just thought you should know that I'm a Cubs fan. I've even seen a game from Wrigley Field!
